The AKC did not recognize Havanese as a breed, until 2001.
When we got our first two Havanese,
there were less than 4000 registered in the world.
Over the past few years, Havanese have become more affordable,
but they are still not a "cheap" dog.
Having said this, they are worth every penny paid for one!
We've never found another breed
that even begins to compare with the Havanese!

A good quality, healthy, regular size Havanese
should sell for somewhere between $1800-$2500.
With breeding rights, rare colors,
will bring the higher prices.
A regular size Havanese
will average 10-15 pounds as adults.

In Europe they are bred for health and are a nice muscular build

to sell their regular size runt puppies for more money.

and fewer hereditary problems.
When we went to Europe for our dogs,
We spent time researching and searching out quality kennels.
